The Journey To Parenthood: Part Three.

Deacon felt the sudden feeling of his phone vibrating in his pocket, alerting him of a text. Pulling it out, he saw the screen display "new message" and he opened the inbox. He saw it was from Xianos which read, "Come home. Now." Deacon was surprised. His husband wasn't one to send texts like these, unless the battery on his phone was running low. Deacon was already headed home, but something about the message worried him.

Opening the door to his house, he called out "I'm home!" as he set the keys on the table. Walking into the living room, he saw Tyr holding Xi's hand. "What's going on?" The dragon asked, slowly walking towards the couch. "Do you want me to stay?" Tyr asked softly, and Xianos nodded his head. "No. Deacon, this isnt easy to say." Deacon stopped in his tracks hearing these words.

Moments of silence passed until the lizard finally broke it. "Deac. I'm pregnant."

Another silence, but not as long as the first. Did he just hear that right? "What was-"

"I'm pregnant." Xianos repeated cutting the other man off. Deacon looked at Tyr, trying to find some answer to this. "Did you test?" The silver haired woman nodded, "You're going to be a father." Tyr's words rung in Deacon's ears. Xianos feared the man's silence would only lead to the worst. However, he suddenly felt Deacon take his hands. "I'm going to be a father? Xi, I'm going to be a father!"

Xianos saw the biggest, most cheerful smile on his husband's face. "You...want to go through with this?" The lizard asked, both worried yet happy. "I want US to go through with this, honey." Xi kissed the man as tears of joy ran down his face.

Deacon was going to be an amazing father.
